CC4H Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 15, 2026
Who We Are
CC4H (Code Club 4 Health) is a record book app for Oklahoma 4-H members. It helps members record their 4-H project activities throughout the year and generate a PDF record book that follows the required 4-H format. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@ofashandfire.com.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide the record book service:
- Account information: the member's full name, email address, birthdate, county, and a password (stored only as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text), plus a parent or guardian's name, email address, and phone number.
- Record book content you create: 4-H project records (goals, lessons learned, work and accomplishments, expenses and income), your 4-H story, leadership and citizenship activities, non-4-H experiences, personal notes, event RSVPs, and photos you upload to your projects.
- Device information: a push notification token for your device, only if you enable push notifications.
We do not collect location data, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the record book service: storing your entries and photos and letting you access them from the app.
- To generate PDF record books from the information you have entered.
- To send push notifications that you have opted into.
We do not show advertising, we do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. The app contains no third-party analytics or tracking.
Where Your Information Is Stored
Your account information and record book entries are stored in a Postgres database hosted by Neon in the United States. Photos you upload are stored with Vercel Blob. All data is transmitted between the app and our servers over HTTPS.
Children's Privacy
4-H members using CC4H may be under 13. The app is intended to be used with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or 4-H club leader, and registration includes a parent or guardian's contact information. We take a COPPA-conscious approach:
- We collect only the information needed to keep a 4-H record book.
- We do not use behavioral advertising or third-party tracking.
- Parents and guardians may contact us at info@ofashandfire.com to review or delete their child's information.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account in the app under Account → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently erases your account and all of your 4-H records — projects, goals, expenses, work, stories, leadership and citizenship entries, notes, event RSVPs and uploaded photos. Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. No email or phone call is required to delete your account.
Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. Access to your data requires authentication with JSON Web Tokens (JWT), and all communication with our servers uses HTTPS.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will be communicated in the app. This version is effective as of August 15, 2026.
